Beyonce’, Jay Z and Prince to Headline Tidal Charity Concert

Marianne Zumberge/Variety:

Beyonce’, Jay Z and Prince will headline Tidal X 10/20, the streaming service’s charity concert in Brooklyn on Oct. 20.

Nicki Minaj, Usher, Lil Wayne, T.I. and Fabolous will also take the stage, in addition to Damian Marley, Indochine, Thomas Rhett, Alessia Cara, Bas, Benjamin Booker, Flatbush Zombies, Justine Skye, DJ Cipha Sounds and DJ Reflex.

The packed roster will convene at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center for the performance, which will be streamed live on Tidal’s website and app. Tickets became available to Tidal users Wednesday mornings, and the general public can purchase tickets beginning Friday, Oct. 2.

Proceeds from the event will go to the New World Foundation, which will benefit “nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing positive community relations and effecting systemic change for the development and sustainability of just societies, this inaugural event’s philanthropic focus,” according to the event’s website.

Beyonce’ headlined two music festivals in September alone: Jay Z and Budweiser’s Made in America festival in Philadelphia, and the Global Citizen Festival in New York.

Minaj landed a sitcom deal with ABC Family earlier this week.

“This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on,” she said of the series. “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special.”
