Radio Broadcaster Imhotep Gary Byrd, journalists Herb Boyd, Marcia Moxam Comrie, and activist Synead Nichols spoke at a program, “Black Voices in Media”, hosted by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Queens Alumnae Chapter, York College, the Greater Queens Chapter of The Links, Inc., and the Epsilon Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. on February 24 at York College. The discussion, moderated by news anchor Cheryl Wills, addressed the crisis in Black media and highlighted the value and importance of supporting Black voices in media to further expand the narratives around Black men and women.
