To help remedy the challenge of no salon services during the COVID-19 lockdown, New York City’s upscale men’s grooming salon Barba, in partnership with agency, Terri and Sandy has launched the Quarancuts Virtual Hair School, via Zoom, taught by the salon’s owner and master stylist, Xavier Cruz. Every ground-breaking initiative must have a first star and the first amateur stylist to attend Quarancuts was Grammy/Tony/Emmy award winning actor Billy Porter, who enrolled to cut his husband Adam Smith’s hair. Of his first Quarancuts experience, the Pose star said: “My nerves faded away with Xavier’s guidance. Humbling and fabulous!” Digital and social content for the Quarancuts Virtual Hair School will be broadcast across social media on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, as well as Barba’s website.
