Reverend Omarosa Onee Manigault, renowned TV personality, activist and educator will host the 2015 African American Vanguard Awards on Thursday, October 15 with co-host Starlett Quarles host of THE Dialogue and President of Urban X Marketing.
This event was founded in 2012 by Robert D. Bush of Lord, Bush & Randolph, LLC. (LBR) to celebrate and recognize the accomplishments of African American leaders who have made a positive impact on the City of Los Angeles and surrounding communities. LBR partnered with the National Action Network-Los Angeles Chapter (NAN-LA), founded by Rev. Al Sharpton, once again to honor the achievments of LA’s 100 most prominent and influential African Americans in areas of community activism, education, entertainment and politics including Congressmember Karen Bass, Bishop Charles E. Blake, Compton Mayor Aja Brown and Macy’s Carol Jackson to name a few. In addtion, distinguished honorees who in attendance are Dan Charlier (Executive Vice Chairman, World Financial Group), State Senator, Dr. Isadore Hall, III (64th District), Dr. Lewis Logan, II (Co-Founder-Ruach Christian Community Fellowship, Areva Martin, Esq. (Founder & Managing Partner-Martin & Martin, LLP and President-Special Needs Network), Kevin McDowell (EVP & Chief Administrative Officer-AEG) and Dr. George McKenna (Los Angeles Unified School District-Retired).
