BUYERS: Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
LOCATION: Hidden Hills, CA
PRICE: $2,925,000
SIZE: 2,842 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms

YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Perhaps in an effort to control their residential surroundings or maybe because they needed a bit more space for their growing family — not to mention their famously gargantuan egos, pop culture supernovas Kim Kardashian and Kanye West shelled out $2.925 million for a 1.47-acre property immediately next door to their newly built faux-French Country mansion Hidden Hills, CA.

Like the couple’s fully landscaped three-acre estate next door, which Kimmie and Yeezy picked up in August (2014) for $19.975 million, the smaller property was previously owned by rock ’n’ roll scion Lisa Marie Presley who dumped it in early 2011 for $1.2 million. (As far as Your Mama knows, the swimming pool-free spread was occupied during Miz Presley’s ownership by musician Danny Keough, the first of her four husbands and father to the eldest two of her four children.)

Although we imagine the gossip glossy staples and fashion show stalwarts will raze or, at least, radically remodel the existing abode, a single-story, circa 1954 ranch residence that has, per listing details, four bedrooms and three bathrooms in 2,842 square feet. The house, all low ceilings and wood floors as far as we can tell from the few photographs included with digital marketing materials, opens to a huge deck, a long strip of flat lawn and a covered patio the size of a small livestock barn.

Kim and Kanye are hardly the only high-profile entertainment industry peeps shacking up in huge houses in the guard-gated and celebrity-stocked Hidden Hills enclave. Other homeowners include Jennifer Lopez, Drake, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, Jessica Simpson and her retired professional football player hubby Eric Johnson and, of course, Kim K.’s momager Kris Jenner.

Like loads of lavish-living showbiz A-listers, the publicity seeking reality television star and the always self-aggrandizing 21-time Grammy winning music impresario maintain a heavy property portfolio. In addition to their 15,000-square foot Hidden Hills manse eight bedrooms, ten bathrooms, eight fireplaces, two swimming pools and a vineyard — and the run-down ranch house they just bought next door, the frequently photographed couple own a half-renovated mock-Med manse in the high-priced and guard-gated Bel Air Crest development they picked up in January 2013 for $9 million, gutted to the studs and, we’ve repeatedly been told by Platinum Triangle real estate insiders, they’d like to unload for about $11 million. Mister West also still owns an approximately 2,400-square-foot, two-unit combination condo in New York City’s SoHo ‘hood he had worked over by Italian architect Claudio Silvestrin in a

severely minimalist manner as well as a 4,200-square-foot-plus four-story contemporary in the foothills of Hollywood he picked up in 2003 for $1.75 million and has had on and off the market since at least May 2010.

In other Kardashian family real estate news, Kim’s oldest sister Kourtney’s uber-flash man-friend/three-time baby daddy — mail order lord Scott Disick — shelled out $3.699 million for a 4,095-square-foot house high in the mountains above Beverly Hills near the guarded gates of illustrious Beverly Park. So the stories goes, Mister Disick purchased the property as an investment and plans to give the place a make-over and — hopefully — flip it at a profit. Interestingly, however, listing details describe the five bedroom and 5.5 bathroom has as having just been reworked by the Stewart-Gulragani Design Team. Does it seem, well, silly to anyone besides Your Mama for Mister Disick to buy, renovate and flip a house that the seller only purchased in February 2014 for $1.965 million, extensively and expensively renovated and flipped at was surely a significant profit? Anyhoodles, poodles….
