Rev. Jesse Jackson Talks Wall Street, Main Street and Silicon Valley at the 18th Annual Rainbow PUSH Wall Street Project Economic Summit

JesseJackson300The Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, 811 Seventh Avenue at 52nd Street will be the home for the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and Citizenship Education Fund 18th Annual Wall Street Project Economic Summit, January 13-January 15, 2015. This year’s Summit, “Where Wall Street, Main Street and Silicon Valley Converge” will evaluate minority participation in the technology industry, increased entrepreneurship, investing in urban communities, identifying the best companies for diversity and the role or lack of African Americans on corporate boards.

“The Black middle class has grown exponentially, however, there is still room for tremendous growth,” says Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr,. founder and president of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition and organizer of the Wall Street Project. “There has been growth through government jobs, government contracts and sometimes government mandates. But, we must now look at the private sector because they must truly be evaluated. The Rainbow PUSH Coalition’s economic projects are placing renewed emphasis on researching the private sector and holding them accountable.”
