YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Now that up-and-coming actor and showbiz scion Evan Ross (“The Hunger Games”) — he’s Diana Ross’s youngest child with deceased Norwegian shipping magnate Arne Naess, Jr. in case you didn’t know — is married to and making babies with Jessica Simpson’s younger sister, erstwhile pop star and actress Ashlee Simpson, he’s put his Sunset Strip bachelor pad up for sale with an asking price of $1,499,000.

As best as Your Mama can tell from a careful (if gin-fueled) perusal of property records, an opaque, Delaware -based corporate entity acquired the 1950s post and beam residence in late 2007 for $1.503 million. In late 2012 the modest if hardly inexpensive house was simultaneously quit-claimed over to young Mister Ross, Evan Naess and now 26 years old, and sold for $1.359 million to what appears to this property gossip to be a Naess family trust.

Online marketing materials show the single-story residence, discreetly tucked in to a picayune,.16-acre parcel on a tiny cul-de-sac off dangerously windy lower Sunset Plaza Drive, has two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,686-square-feet. A walled and secured entry courtyard with flagstone terracing leads to the double glass door front entry off of which open a formal dining room and a spacious living room with wood-burning fireplace and a full wall of glass doors that open to the backyard. An angled bar divides the living room from the small but expensively equipped kitchen that conveniently connects through to an attached two car garage.

Wood floors in the main living spaces switch to tan and wall-to-wall carpeting in both bedrooms, each of which have direct access to cosmetically updated if ho-hum and mostly beige bathrooms. The master bedroom opens through glass doors flagstone terrace with koi pond that wraps round to a foliage ringed, courtyard-sized backyard jam-packed with covered terrace, built-in barbecue, free-form swimming pool with attached spa and small patch of grass.

We’re not sure where the Ross-Naesses have set up house now that they’ve got a bun in the oven — Simpson already has a child with her first husband, musician Pete Wentz — but, coincidentally enough, a 9,000-square-foot mansion in Encino that Missus Simpson Wentz Ross-Naess briefly owned during her short-lived showbiz heyday in the mid-2000s — she bought in June 2005 for $4.5 million and sold October 2006 to a convalescent home tycoon for $5.7 million — is currently listed (and pending sale) with an asking price of $5.9 million.
