Labor Day Weekend concluded with the Season 2 premiere of Vh1’s runaway hit show, “Love and Hip Hop Hollywood” — a welcomed nightcap after a day of BBQ’s, pool parties and potlucks! Living up to the franchise’s name, L.A. native, Moniece Slaughter revealed her blossoming relationship with castmate Rich Dollaz and in the coming weeks will showcase her musical talents with the long-awaited release of “Riches,” the debut single from her forthcoming EP.

Moniece grew up in a musical family and is the daughter of six-time Grammy Award-winning Gospel singer Dave Thomas of Take 6. She went on to sing the theme song for the hit television show America’s Next Top Model. She’s penned songs for the likes of Marques Houston, Detail and Akon. In February 2015, Moniece released “Slaughter House Vol 2,” the critically acclaimed sophomore follow-up to her 2012 mixtape, “Slaughter House.” Accompanying the release of “Riches,” Moniece will drop a music video for the track directed by celebrity director BenMarc and shot at Dream Magic Studios in Canoga Park, CA.

In addition to her work as a singer/songwriter, Moniece appears frequently as a host and performer from coast-to-coast. Off-stage, Moniece uses her voice to advocate for equal rights for women and is an international spokesperson for Alfalit.org. A devoted mother, she shares custody of a son with castmate, and former sweetheart, Fizz.
