“Northside Center was delighted to welcome Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge and First Lady Chirlane McCray to our headquarters on Monday morning to learn about our work and to visit a classroom. They also participated in our annual gift wrapping marathon with donors and volunteers who, thanks to Paper Source, wrapped more than 250 gifts donated by Toys R Us for our children and families,” said Thelma Dye, Ph.D., Hilda L. “We know that Her Royal Highness and our First Lady share a great interest in young people’s mental health and the importance of supporting disadvantaged young people from an early age. Northside Center is a nonprofit that provides expert behavioral, mental health, and education services to children and families living in poverty,” Dr. Dye added.
