Twitter has clinched a deal with the National Football League to live-stream a series of games next season anchored by “Thursday Night Football” broadcasts, Bloomberg reported, citing an anonymous source.
It’s not immediately clear how Twitter will present the games to users of the service, which is geared around short message posts with text, photos and videos.
Reps for Twitter and NFL did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Twitter reportedly won the deal with the NFL against a field of bidders that included Facebook, Verizon and Amazon.
